There are 80 Trinkets and 30 of each of the other categories. At the start, unlocking each one only costs one Candle, but the more you invest, the Candle cost increases. This is where you unlock new Trinkets, Combat Items, Stagecoach Items and Inn Items.
The second tab in the Darkest Dungeon 2 Altar of Hope is called The Working Fields. Renown unlocks different cosmetic stagecoach skins. Resourcefulness gives you more starting relics & baubles and grants small bonuses for visiting the various non-combat nodes during your run. Use them all on your favorite heroes, or spread them out evenly-no matter how you do it, your party is constantly getting stronger every time you visit a Hero Shrine. So, to further improve your odds of surviving this nightmarish landscape, it is best to seek out as many Hero Shrines as you can. Winning the battle concludes the chapter, netting you the skill. Some chapters are puzzles, which play out in the game’s regular battle system but with preset heroes and skills. Most chapters are just cutscenes, where simply viewing them unlocks the hero’s skill.
